Somos familia · Somos vida

You're welcome here

Everything you'd want to know before your first visit — answered here, so you don't have to ask anyone.

Sunday  ·  2:00 PM 2367 Fortune Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744

First, the honest part: our service is in Spanish. The preaching, the music and the announcements are all in Spanish. You are still genuinely welcome — there is always someone who can translate for you, and plenty of families here are part English, part Spanish. We would rather tell you now than have you drive over and find out.

Read this before you come. We meet inside the building of the Hispanic Church of the Nazarene, at 2367 Fortune Road. The sign outside says that name, not ours. You're not in the wrong place — this is it. Come on in; someone will meet you at the door.

The questions everyone has

And that almost nobody asks out loud.

Is the service in English?

No — it's in Spanish. But you're welcome exactly as you are, and there's always someone who can translate. Bring your English-speaking family; they're welcome too.

What should I wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in. Some people come in a suit, others in jeans and sneakers. Nobody is going to look at you strangely. God doesn't care about your clothes.

How long does it last?

About two hours. We start at 2:00 PM with worship, and the preaching comes after. You can come and go freely.

Will I be singled out?

No. We don't ask visitors to stand up, come to the front, or introduce themselves. You can walk in, sit down and listen.

Can I bring my kids?

Please do. We're a church of families and we're used to the noise of children — nobody minds. The kids here packed 18 Operation Christmas Child boxes for children from low-income families. See them here. If you want to know what's happening for them on a specific Sunday, call and ask.

Do I have to give money?

No. An offering is collected during the service, but it's voluntary and nobody keeps track of who gives and who doesn't. You're our guest.

What's the music like?

Live, and in Spanish. There's a full band — drums, congas, keyboard and voices. It's joyful; people sing and clap.

Where do I park?

Free parking on the church grounds, right in front of the building. No paying, no hunting for a spot on the street.

What if I come alone?

Plenty of people come alone the first time. Someone will greet you at the door, and if you'd rather sit in the back and just watch, that's fine too.

Before you come

See what a Sunday actually looks like

You don't have to imagine it. The full service is recorded every week — the music, the preaching, the people. Watch one from your couch first if that makes it easier. It's in Spanish, but you'll see exactly what the room is like and who's in it.

Who we are

A small church, and a family

Iglesia Alcance Urbano y Más is a Spanish-speaking church in Kissimmee, led by Pastor Eric Napoleón and Pastora Teresita Cárdenas, who are married and pastor together. Painted on the sanctuary wall are the words Somos familia · Somos vida — we are family, we are life. That's the whole idea, and it's not marketing: it's what's on the wall.

Our mission and what we believe are on the Spanish site, in the church's own words.
